SCHOOL ACTIVITIES – CEG LA RÉFÉRENCE

At this school, students learn many things about sustainability. This includes not only lessons on environmental conservation but also practical measures are taken. For example. installing new water taps for more efficient water usage and providing educational materials to raise awareness among young people about environmental issues, including waste management.

MONDAY – GOING NOT BACK TO SCHOOL

Monday. The first day of the week. For many children, it’s time to go to school. But this is not the case for everyone.

Climate change has intensified weather patterns in Madagascar, with more frequent and severe cyclones. Coastal communities, like Ambovobe in northern Madagascar, suffer greatly. Here, a primary school’s roof has been destroyed by strong winds, halting education for its children. They are forced to stay home. The teachers stay behind in an empty classroom. But isn’t education the cornerstone for a fairer and more sustainable world?
