Sustainable Impact Stories

Welcome to Sustainable Impact Stories! Here, I share my experiences from around the world, aiming to share positive impact through storytelling.

Since I can remember, I’ve carried a deep desire to travel to developing countries and to help other people.

My journey with non-governmental organizations (NGOs) began at the age of 17. It all started with a volunteer trip to Ghana. Just one year later, I found myself on another adventure, this time in Nepal, where I dedicated several months to volunteer work.

Some years later, while writing my bachelor’s thesis, I was invited by an NGO to accompany them on a mission to Uganda. After completing my Bachelor’s degree in Sociology, I started my Masters degree in Sustainable Development Studies – International Development at Utrecht University. I conducted research in Vietnam and Nepal on Sustainable Livelihoods and Human-Wildlife Conflicts.

After starting my career as a journalist, my passion for the Global South never faded. I continued exploring new places and working with NGOs, from Bonaire to Tanzania and, most recently, Madagascar. These experiences deepened my understanding of humanitarian and environmental issues and the importance of NGOs in promoting sustainable development.

And now, in 2024, I realize that the time had come to bring everything together. Welcome to Sustainable Impact Stories! Here, I share my experiences from around the world, aiming to share positive impact through storytelling.
